Things To Consider
(Errors In The Plum Blossom Method)

Every couple of years you should take some time  in your
studies to consider and contemplate the path one is on. This is
especially true when it comes to metaphysical studies because you
are working in an area that is intangible. It is not like a
mechanic who has a physical car in front of him to work with.
Divination and metaphysics is not that easy. Since chi is invisible
we have nothing visual to work with. So we have to learn to work
with our heart/intuition rather than our head or our hands. This is
not easy in a world based mainly on greed and profit. A pure heart
surely seems to be the 'underdog' in today's world. This is why you
need to align yourself every now and then. Many times in my own
studies I've had to discard methods that I've used for several years
and had to look for an alternative approach. Imagine working with a
system for 3,4, or more years believing it is a perfect and ideal
system and then discovering that it has faults. This can bother
some people, but my advice would be to get used to it because you
cannot avoid it. Always remember that it doesn't have to be
stressful. It can and should be used as part of your learning.
This is how you advance in your studies.

One of the first things to understand is that almost all ancient
Chinese (and other) astrological calendars that are in use today are
very inaccurate. One of two things most likely happened. 1) The
ancients could have been wrong in their calculations, or 2) The
powers or leaders in control of the people could have purposely
manipulated or misaligned the calendars.......especially the ones
used for divination. If the first case is true, we have to wonder
how many other ideas and principles the ancients could be wrong
with. Using their methods could put us in a little trouble. If the
second case is true, then the methods we are using are, again,
inaccurate. Either way.......it's no good. Well, most people don't
want to believe that the ancients were wrong but there are cases
where the ancients were very wrong. Here is just one example of
many. This example involves Calendar Calculation in Plum Blossom I
Ching and it is in wide use today. This method has been used
throughout the generations since the Sung dynasty. In other words,
people have been using a faulty and unbalanced system for over 1,000
years. I have discovered the error about 5 years ago and have been
shocked that no one ever mentioned it.......until recently, that
is. Mr.Peter Manyhakin from Russia has written about it and has
inspired me to add a little more to his discoveries. Peter and I have
discussed some of these inaccuracies in private in the past.  Anyways,
there is a method in Plum Blossom I Ching ( a.k.a Mei Hua )
that generates a hexagram using the calendar. You add together the
Y,M,D and divide by 8 and use the remainder to create the top
trigram. Then you do the same using the Hour along with the Y,M,D
to create the bottom trigram. Then you take the Y,M,D,H and divide
by 6 to get the changing line. This method is mentioned in every
Plum Blossom book I have read and it is very invalid. ONLY ONE HALF
OF THE HEXAGRAMS WITH CHANGING LINES CAN BE PRODUCED. In other
words, 50% of the I Ching hexagram system is eliminated. It sounds
impossible. How could the ancients be so wrong. But again, was it
the ancients or the Powers that be that is responsible ? Who
knows. This is sad, but what is even more sad is that books and
teachers/masters are teaching this system to this very day. Not a
single master past or present has discovered this error. Anyone
studying this method with a teacher or master today should be aware
of this. Book authors such as Da Liu, Jou, Sherrill and Chu, Dr. Wang Yang, etc.
have not spotted it. Yet they were able to publish books and make
money from a system that is unsound. These authors have even
changed a thing or two and tried to transform it into a modern
western system and taken credit for a 'revised method'. Well, the
revised methods are just as unbalanced as the originals.
Incredible !  Always remember to beware when using this calendrical
method of the Plum Blossom I Ching.
