Andy Nicola has been a seriously devoted student and researcher in the field
of Oriental metaphysics for over 20 years. His studies began in the area of
health and nutrition and shortly thereafter branched into astrology, divination,
numerology, Taoist philosophy, dream interpretation, meditation, and other
occult practices. He is considered by many to be a numerical wizard although he
himself readily admits that his skills with numbers are nothing overly
extraordinary. In a previous interview he stated, " I am not what one might call
a mathematical genius per se, I have merely developed a close intimate
relationship with numerical patterns and sequences that underlie, permeate, and
reveal the ultimate truths of the nature of existence." In addition to his close
relationship with numbers, he is said to hold an acute memory and can recall
events that have occurred over 30 or 40 years ago with pinpoint accuracy. The
great majority of the charts and diagrams he works with are committed to memory.
In 1997 Andy began communicating and exchanging ideas and theories with some of
the most renowned and prominent masters and scholars in the world of Chinese
metaphysics. Prior to that point his learning was pursued mainly on his own and
many labeled him "the lone wolf". He has never been formally tutored or educated
by a master, teacher, guru, or any other "peculiarly described dude" as he calls
them. At times, his studies involve a virtual 24-hour a day schedule devoted
strictly to learning. His earlier studies were strenuous and consisted of 10
hour days for over 10 straight years, which included many periods of 1 or 2 days
of laborious study with no sleep. Today he says he puts in about 7 arduous hours
a day but his mind still works overtime though in a much more relaxed manner
than in the early days, and when he's on to something big he says he can still
churn out 2 straight days with no problem. Although he has not attended a higher
education through universities he readily admits that his choice in not doing so
is what precisely gave him the ability to penetrate the subject at the level he
understands it. In his opinion, the overemphasis in exercising the left-brain as
is the case in intellectual pursuits, hinders the creativity to tap into the
metaphysical realm. In 2008, Andy decided to share his private works with the
public by publishing his first book on the subject of Luo Shu Astrology (also
known as 9 Ki). In addition to his consulting services, in the fall of 2008 Andy
will be offering private classes for a select few serious students only. For the
first time, Andy will be sharing his private collection consisting of the most
advanced ancient teachings of Chinese metaphysics. In addition to Chinese
metaphysics, Andy enjoys organic gardening, researching holistic health and well
being, spending time outdoors with nature, and poetry.
